Nokomis council discusses street signs, MFT funds, sidewalks, and roof repairs

Mayor Goldsmith reported that Roger notified the city that federal MFT funds allotted last year are now coming through. "Mayor Goldsmith stated that he received a call from Roger with good news, stating that we had fed funds coming through for MFT that was allotted last year, and the City was unaware of this," the minutes say.
The council discussed sidewalk repairs and Mayor Goldsmith said he would recommend avoiding work on sidewalks near the school as he is pursuing a Safe Routes to School grant to address those areas. Commissioner Glenn also reported Tim was inspecting roof repairs done by Youngs Roofing and that the roofing issue persisted; Youngs Roofing is expected to return to re-examine repairs.
