Nokomis council approves minutes, bills and adopts city handbook

The City Council of the City of Nokomis unanimously approved the March 10, 2025 regular- and executive-meeting minutes and a bill list totaling $25,582.10 during its March 24 meeting at Nokomis City Hall. Commissioner Glenn moved to approve the minutes; Commissioner Morris seconded. Commissioner O’Malley reported revenues of $121,907.98 before moving to approve the bills, a motion seconded by Commissioner Arkebauer and approved on a unanimous vote.
Council also considered and adopted the City Handbook. Mayor Goldsmith and Commissioner Morris discussed paid-time treatment when a holiday falls during an employee's paid time; after clarifying that point, Commissioner Arkebauer moved to approve the handbook and Commissioner O’Malley seconded. The motion carried with all members voting yes. The council did not record any dissent or abstentions on these actions.
