Public Works Director Zachary Boudreaux presented the Water Meter Modernization Project to transition Exeter's existing meters and meter transmission units to a cellular advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system through HydroPro Solutions. The council authorized implementation for the 2026/27 fiscal year in the amount of $143,904.80, which includes replacement of incompatible meters and retrofit of compatible MTUs.
No public comments were presented on this item; the vote to approve the project was recorded as 5–0. Staff will coordinate procurement and scheduling for the meter replacements and MTU retrofits under the authorized budget.
