Peaster ISD superintendent: school year underway; district earns TEA B rating

Dr. Kendra Pittman, superintendent of Peaster ISD, told trustees on Aug. 18 that campuses are actively working on attendance and implementing attendance incentive programs as the district begins the 2025–26 school year. She said schools are "in full swing" and staff are focused on student engagement and attendance monitoring.
Dr. Pittman also noted that the Texas Education Agency recently released accountability ratings and that Peaster ISD earned a B rating. She said additional information about accountability will be shared at the September board meeting.
