Commissioner Glenn told the council during a closed-session discussion on April 14 that he would like the city to investigate purchasing a lot that contains a house described in poor condition, with the intent of tearing the house down. "I would like to look into purchasing a lot that has a house that is in bad shape and tear it down. It is a large lot," Glenn said.
Mayor Goldsmith responded that he would look into the parcel and contact county staff member Nikki Lohman to gather additional information. The minutes do not identify the lot by parcel number, address or value, and they record no formal motion or vote to authorize acquisition or to allocate funds.
