Deputy Commissioner Maureen Hughes said the matter will be heard at the Smith Building in the Authority’s Albany office on Wednesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m., with supervising Administrative Law Judge Marley Downey presiding to collect public input. After the hearing, the record will return to the full board for a vote on whether to adopt the proposed hours.
Hughes urged interested members of the public to attend or submit written comments; the board’s secretary's office will accept written comment through close of business on May 21. The announcement is the first formal step in the Authority’s process to evaluate county‑level requests to extend package‑store hours.
