Board directs slimmer treasurer's report; detailed records available on request
Summary
Trustees accepted a revised treasurer's report format proposed by Treasurer Gary Whitcomb and Trustee Tim Stage, approving a summary showing totals and balance while retaining access to detailed transactions on request.
Acting President Karen Simkins asked Treasurer Gary Whitcomb whether the treasurer's report could be condensed. Whitcomb said he could omit individual transactions and provide a summary format showing the village's cash position, expenditures and balance. Trustee Tim Stage proposed that the summary be the default and that any resident may request a detailed report if desired.
Trustee Diane Brown moved to accept the treasurer's report with those format changes; Trustee Stage seconded and the motion carried. The change is procedural: the village will present a concise financial summary at meetings while retaining detailed transaction records available on request.
