The Cohoes Planning Board designated the site plan submission for 620 Saratoga Street as final on July 13, endorsing the applicant’s plan to reuse existing foundations and build flexible rental units. The board voted to make the filing final after reviewing kiosk placement, lighting specifications and unit layouts.
Charl Godfrey said the proposal will reuse existing foundations and extend the back of some foundations by about nine feet to increase unit depth. He described the unit finish, saying "every unit will have a single bathroom with a small kitchette or just in case they use it," and that units will include a twelve-by-ten overhead door, a small hot water tank and A/C for tenant flexibility. The applicant also said all signage will meet the zoning code’s standard size and that wall-path lighting would be specified to avoid off-site illumination. Member Carroll moved to assign the submission as the final site plan; Member McCormick seconded and the motion carried 4-0.
