Planning Board approves Clean as a Whisker relocation to 204 Remsen Street

The Cohoes Planning Board approved a change-of-use/new-tenant application allowing Clean as a Whisker LLC to relocate from 237 Remsen Street to 204 Remsen Street and expand its boarding capacity. Owners Steve and Debra Williams told the board they will maintain the same business operation but increase boarding from two suites to "4 to 6 boarding spaces" using a temporary interior wall; on-street parking will handle drop-offs and pick-ups.
Debra Williams described the facility layout to the board and demonstrated a sketch of the interior plan. She explained a contained dryer unit called a "Catty Shack," which keeps fur and hair in a collection unit after bathing. Member Carroll asked whether boarding suites would be separated to prevent animals from escaping; Williams said suites will be separated. Member Paradis moved to approve the change-of-use application, Member Carroll seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
