The Pilot Point Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a Tax Rate Levy for 2025 of $0.9382 per $100 assessed value following a public hearing and presentations from district finance staff. Brittany Floyd, Chief Financial Officer, presented the proposed 2025–2026 tax rate during the board's Aug. 13 meeting.
Mandy Kirby, Trustee (Place #3), moved the motion to adopt the levy. "I move to APPROVE a Tax Rate Levy for 2025 of $.9382/$100 assessed value as per the attached Order," Kirby said. The motion was seconded by Craig Bickers and passed unanimously, 7–0. The vote followed informational financial reports and a presentation on local revenue options earlier in the meeting.
The board's action came as part of the meeting's financial section, which also included approval of the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credit and other routine financial reports. The district's CFO presented the numbers to the board during the public hearing; the minutes record the enrollment at 1,676 students as of Aug. 13, 2025.
