Police, fire, recreation and public works report progress; Pinefest, splash pad, tournaments highlighted

Adam Wilson said, "The Splash Pad is open and running great," and reported that the football field will open July 1 with new Bermudagrass coming in. He noted a recent baseball tournament, growth in Redstitch rentals, and that Pinefest already has 76 vendors signed up. Public Works' Mr. Stewart reported the EPA approved the town's risk-assessment report, four employees completed licensing tutoring with a 100% pass rate, and water loss was down 22% this month. Mayor Warren added that three loads of large-item pickup totaled about nine tons at a cost of $540.
