At the Oct. 11 meeting the council approved a check register totaling $157,983.26 after a motion from Tim McCarthy and a second from Mike Botelho. Clerk Anne Heywood presented the register and the motion passed without a recorded roll‑call in the minutes.
Treasurer Tracey McCay reported the Pokagon Fund balance at $43,329 and noted two certificates of deposit will mature in December. She said a letter will be mailed explaining the renewed five‑year operating millage that voters approved in August and how it will appear on the upcoming winter tax statements.
Heywood also recapped community events: Octoberfest sold all 100 tickets and sales of wagon‑wheel light fixtures and posters are ongoing to support village history and fundraising efforts.
