Committee members said there are roughly 249 registered short-term rentals in Warren County connected to the Johnsburg area and discussed outreach and toolkits developed with Adirondack Action to encourage landlords to move units into long-term tenancy for workforce housing. The committee noted this would address housing for households earning roughly 120% to 200% of median income (a workforce housing band distinct from low-income programs) and said the group will seek developer engagement and look at zoning and permit options. A spring roundtable for business owners and developers is scheduled for May 19 at the Tannery Pond Center.
