PAISD recognizes student achievers and athletic qualifiers

The Port Aransas ISD board recognized multiple student accomplishments during the May 14 meeting. Presentations included a Marlin PRIDE Gold Medalist (presented by David Swartwout); the valedictorian and salutatorian (presented by Morgan Melde); regional qualifiers in track (Ginger Jones) and tennis (Kayla Sheffield); golf regional and state qualifiers (Steve Reaves); and UIL academic regional and state qualifiers (Diane Tucker).
The recognitions were brief and ceremonial; the meeting minutes list presenters and categories but do not include individual student names beyond those who led the Pledge (Alejandro Jimenez, Gage Kypke and Hayes Kypke) or detailed results. The board acknowledged these achievements as part of routine celebration of student success.
