The Port Aransas Independent School District board swore in three trustees during its May 14, 2025 regular meeting. Justice of the Peace Duncan Neblett administered the oaths to Charles Joyce (Place 4), Daniel Johnson (Place 5) and Marc Hofhiens (Place 6).
Board members welcomed Charles Joyce after the ceremony and noted the trustee’s addition to the board roster. The swearing-in took place early in the meeting following opening formalities, including a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Olsen Elementary students Alejandro Jimenez, Gage Kypke and Hayes Kypke.
