Summer concerts, fireworks and paving projects move forward in Cohoes

Mayor Keeler announced the Rock The Block series at Canal Square with Thursday-night performances running through Aug. 6 and listed several bands, and he previewed the July 3 fireworks at Lansing Park with free food from sponsor NH Kelman. "Free hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream and more. Always fun!" he said.
Keeler also provided an extensive paving update: recent work completed in various neighborhoods and a planned sequence moving from the Island/Pond area to the Orchard area and then to other streets including Taylor St., Conboy Ave., Cascade St., West St., North Erie St. and more. He said Columbia Street paving is underway and sidewalks are being replaced, with staging moving from Mann Ave to Saratoga St for the duration of that project.
