Parks staff updated the board on ongoing recreation programs: spring seasons are underway for youth soccer, tee-ball and softball and staff reported the new jersey supplier saved money though the large initial order had organizational hiccups. Staff said spring pickleball camps had close to 30 participants and summer pickleball begins mid-June.
Staff also noted operational challenges: an umpire group declined to cover a slow-pitch adult league so staff will secure alternate officials. Summer adult leagues and a 5v5 softball registration window will open as staff continue to manage enrollment and field logistics.
