Parks staff requested a budget transfer totaling $800,000 to fund restroom and amenity improvements across multiple county parks. The package calls for three new prefabricated bathroom facilities at Splinter City Bike and Run Park and Enterprise Boat Landing, renovations at Sanderidge Park and Baber Park, and signage and receptacle replacements.
"To complete these projects, we're requesting the transfer of $615,000 in one‑time budgetary savings from the recreation fund, the appropriation of $185,000 in boat landing impact fees for a total of $800,000," the parks presenter explained. Committee members asked how many bathrooms would be installed; staff confirmed three new bathrooms and upgrades to two existing facilities. The resolution passed on a voice vote.
