The Oakbrook Terrace Police Commission on March 4, 2026, voted unanimously to remove several candidates from both the entry-level and lateral-transfer hiring lists and approved a conditional offer to one candidate. Commissioner Tomaselli moved to make a conditional offer to Joshua Hallin; Commissioner Brown seconded and the motion passed with Ayes from Siciliano, Brown and Tomaselli.
Commissioners removed Salysha Arequin Jimenez, Mair Ayyad, Jason Aguirre, Victor Lucas and Bernie Berroa from the entry-level list and removed Antonio Whitfield, Marnika Morton, James Martin, Jason Kudelko, Alex Rojas and Michael Spilotro from the lateral-transfer list. Secretary Addy Lozano was directed to notify applicants who were removed. Later in the meeting Commissioners scheduled the swearing-in of Joshua Garza pending completion of his background investigation. These personnel actions were taken after the commission met in executive session to consider applicant testing and suitability.
