During the Sept. 10 meeting the treasurer reported several routine financial and community items. Notices for FY 2024/2025 Route 20 and Rosebud fire fees were mailed the previous week. The treasurer also reported that results of the FY 2023/2024 worker's compensation audit produced an increase in the town's annual premium of more than $19,000.
The treasurer announced a flu-shot clinic scheduled for Oct. 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and said the Halloween Fall Festival is "progressing well" with 17 vendors confirmed; the town will solicit donations from businesses to support advertising and other festival needs.
