Highway Superintendent Fred Comstock reported on solicitation for street-sweeping services and said several firms that provided quotes in the past are no longer available; Kingsbury Sweeping remains the responsive vendor and provided a revised hourly price. “We've got 3 people we've reached out to and the only 1 that can do it is Kingsbury,” Comstock said, noting travel and hourly rates and a tentative schedule to complete sweeping the last week of April before Memorial Day-related traffic.
Board members moved, seconded and carried a resolution to proceed with the street-sweeping contract. The board asked staff to coordinate scheduling and any follow-up with county responsibilities as needed.
