Council selects GrantWorks to administer CDBG projects for FY 25–26
Summary
Council approved a resolution awarding Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) administration services to GrantWorks after a review committee evaluated proposals on experience, performance, capacity and cost. The grant will support water, wastewater, drainage, roadway and bridge projects.
The council voted Oct. 14 to award grant administration services for the Texas Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to GrantWorks.
City staff said two proposals were received — GrantWorks and Public Management — and that the review committee recommended GrantWorks based on experience, past performance, capacity and cost. “Based on experience, work performance, capacity to perform, and cost, our review committee selected GrantWorks to be awarded,” staff said. A council member moved to approve resolution 773‑24; a second followed and the council approved the award by voice vote.
Staff described the CDBG program as funding infrastructure projects such as water, wastewater, drainage, roadway and bridge projects and noted that federal grants require detailed administrative documentation, which was the purpose of the contract award.
