The council opened a public hearing on Resolution 2025-R-14 to continue the city's fire services assessment for fiscal year 2026. Staff said the assessment was first approved in FY23 and that continuing the assessment funds fire protection services; staff recommended approval and stated the fee would be held flat with no increase.
The council closed the public hearing, made a motion to adopt the resolution and passed it by roll call. Staff will send notice to property owners via first-class mail as part of the annual TRIM notice. The resolution directs preparation of an assessment roll and sets the assessment methodology for property-level charges supporting fire services and facilities.
