Council voted to award a bid for the East Millstone water-main installation to Your Way Construction for an amount not to exceed $1,064,962, council members said at Tuesday's meeting.
Council members said the work will connect an isolated system built decades ago to the township's larger main loop so that a main break will no longer cut off water service to that area. "This will connect the East Millstone water system to our main water system," a council member said during the discussion, explaining the project will improve resiliency and service continuity.
The resolution was moved, seconded and adopted by roll call. Staff reported that funding and contract details were vetted and that project-specific funding will be confirmed in coordination with the township's financial consultant and bond counsel before work proceeds.
