Village adopts budget adjustments, appropriation, levy and related resolution

Treasurer Gary Whitcomb reviewed the budget adjustments the board had previously discussed and distributed a copy reflecting those changes. He explained the appropriation is derived from the adopted budget and that the levy provides the tax base used to compute village property taxes. Whitcomb presented those documents for formal board action.
Trustee Tim Stage moved to accept the appropriation; Trustee Cheryl Stevens seconded. The board took a roll call vote with Trustees Diane Brown, Angie Chandlee, Tim Stage and Cheryl Stevens voting yes and none voting no; the appropriation motion carried. Trustee Angie Chandlee moved to accept the levy; Trustee Diane Brown seconded and the levy passed on the same roll call. Trustee Diane Brown then moved to adopt the resolution related to the levy (seconded by Trustee Angie Chandlee); that resolution also passed by roll call with the four trustees voting aye.
The votes complete the village’s immediate budget and tax-setting procedures for the year; no further fiscal actions were taken at the meeting beyond these formal adoptions.
