Trustees identify repairs for ball diamond concession stand and bathrooms; volunteer painting offered
Summary
Trustees reported a walk-through of the ball diamond facilities and listed needed repairs including cleaning the refrigerator, removing a storm door, painting interiors, replacing a stall door and a urinal, sealing floors and repairing exterior plywood. Trustees Diane Brown and Angie Chandlee reported on a walk-through of the village softball concession stand and bathrooms during the Aug. 14 meeting at the ball field.
They identified specific repairs: clean the concession refrigerator; remove an unnecessary storm door; paint walls and ceilings; clean out the storage room; replace one stall door and one urinal; remove an outlet; seal the floor perimeter; and replace or repair exterior plywood. Trustee Chandlee said she would contact the Alexis Recreation Council to ask if it would cover half the cost. Trustee Cheryl Stevens volunteered to do the painting and Trustee Diane Brown said the board would pay her to perform that work.
The minutes do not include cost estimates, a contractor name, or a procurement timeline. During public comment, Karen Tucker offered leftover paint the village could use.
