Mayor updates council on construction, shred day and park grant timeline

The mayor also said the city submitted a park grant at the end of July and expects a funding decision by the end of December.
Council members asked which park elements the grant would cover; the mayor said the application sought playground equipment to augment existing play structures. No formal action was taken on the park grant during the meeting.
