Voters approved Proposition No. 2 authorizing the Kinderhook Central School District to acquire four school buses at a maximum total cost of $650,006. The proposition passed by a 556–287 margin, according to district minutes documenting vote totals from the May 20, 2025 election.
The proposition text also allows the district to expend the sum, levy the necessary tax, and, "in anticipation of the collection of such tax, issue bonds, notes and/or installment purchase contracts of the District" in accordance with Education Law Section 416, taking state aid and trade-in value into account. The board subsequently accepted the certified results by a unanimous 7–0 vote.
