The Board approved a resolution authorizing the school district’s participation with the ROC ONE Risk Operations Center and granting designated ROC attorneys authority to negotiate and approve Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) with vendors to satisfy Ed Law 2-d and Part 121 regulations on student PII and certain APPR data. The resolution notes the ROC partners with NYSED, the SDPC and The Education Cooperative to negotiate Ed Law 2-d compliant DPAs; the Board recorded that such DPAs do not require additional district expenditure beyond budgeted funds.
The resolution was presented under consent items with supporting language that the ROC will execute DPAs and that the district authorizes its execution; the minutes place the full resolution in the supplemental file for execution by the Board President or Superintendent.
