The Lansingburgh Central School District Board of Education accepted the Independent Auditor’s Report prepared by Bonadio & Company for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and approved a Corrective Action Plan addressing the auditor’s recommendations.
Kylene Fitsik of Bonadio & Company presented the audit findings and "thanked Linda Klime and the business office staff for their assistance in providing all that was needed to complete the audit." The auditors "issued an unmodified opinion which is the highest level," the report states. On the Board’s motion, both acceptance of the auditor’s report and approval of the corrective action plan carried unanimously (Ayes–7, Nays–0).
Board members framed the actions as standard fiscal oversight steps ahead of the district’s budget development schedule. The Board also approved acceptance of the auditor’s extraclassroom activity funds financial statement for the year ending June 30, 2024.
Next steps include staff implementation of the Corrective Action Plan as presented to the Audit Committee and monitored in future committee reports.
