Lansingburgh Board approves personnel actions, awards contracts and adopts policies

The Lansingburgh Central School District Board of Education convened Oct. 28 at Turnpike Elementary School and carried a slate of routine governance items, personnel actions and procurement decisions.
The board unanimously approved the meeting agenda and the Treasurer’s Report and budget transfers. Mrs. Vartigian moved to approve the agenda; the motion carried with seven ayes and no nays. The board also approved minutes from the Sept. 23 regular meeting and the Oct. 15 special meeting.
On personnel, the board accepted resignations including Aliyah Pasha (Teaching Assistant, Rensselaer Park Elementary School, effective Oct. 4, 2024) and the retirement notice of Christina Retell (Special Education Teacher, Lansingburgh High School, effective June 27, 2025). The board conferred tenure on Megan Hupfl (Special Education, RPES), effective Oct. 9, 2024, and approved a package of instructional and non-instructional appointments with terms, step/salary or stipend details listed in the minutes.
The meeting recorded motions and vote tallies for each action; most items carried unanimously. The board also approved the October 2024 Inservice Salary Increment Report and authorized compensation in accordance with the Lansingburgh Teachers Association schedule, effective Sept. 1, 2024.
The board adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
