Facilities, safety and governance updates; board cancels Nov. 25 meeting, moves December date

Committee reports at the Nov. 18 special meeting covered facilities, safety and governance items. The Facilities Committee reported that Jr./Sr. High School bathrooms will open at the same time (not staggered) and that students completed a Le Roy Knights Media video about bathroom etiquette and respect for people and property. The Safety report noted that Superintendent Merritt Holly posted information on ParentSquare about dismissal and parking changes and notifications about inclement weather delays or closings.
The Shared Decision-Making committee will meet with Caledonia-Mumford representatives on Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the district offices. The board also noted upcoming GVSBA Board Presidents' meeting Nov. 25 at Pavilion Central School with Peter Luongo from the New York State School Boards Association as keynote. Separately, on a motion by Mrs. Dowell and seconded by Mrs. Duthe, the board cancelled the regular Nov. 25 meeting and changed the December meeting from Dec. 16 to Dec. 15 at 6:00 p.m.; the vote was 7 Yes, 0 No.
