The Jamestown Area School Board on March 12, 2026 approved several professional development requests and changed a future meeting location. Kelli Mayer moved to approve travel for Shawna Yesko and her family to attend the Title I PDE State Parent Conference at Seven Springs Resort in Champion, Pa., July 6–8, 2026, at a cost of $1,293.00; Bob Hutchinson seconded the motion, which passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board also approved a change of location and start time for the Oct. 8, 2026 board meeting; the new venue will be the Mercer County Career Center and the meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Separately, the board approved a virtual professional development session for Sarah Peters, "Enhance Therapy Effectiveness for APD, Auditory Memory, ADHD, and Language Processing," scheduled for April 1, 2026, at a total cost of $295.00. These approvals were recorded in the official minutes and were voted on by the full board.
