Board appoints long-term Ag/Tech substitute, approves additional substitutes; accepts cleaner’s resignation

The Stockbridge Valley Central School District Board appointed Daniel Ruiz as a long-term substitute Ag/Technology teacher effective Dec. 10, 2025 through approximately June 26, 2026. The motion was made by Joseph Monfiletto and seconded by Carol Marshall; the board approved the appointment by a vote of five ayes and zero nays.
The board also appointed substitute teachers Sara Dougherty (retroactive to Sept. 1, 2025) and Myah LaFave for the 2025–26 school year on a motion by Kristin Guinto, seconded by Daniel Gilbert. The volunteer list for 2025–26 was approved during the same portion of the meeting. Additionally, the board accepted the resignation of cleaner Tom Walcek, effective Dec. 31, 2025. All motions recorded in the minutes carried 5–0.
