SVCS Board adopts 2024-25 audit, reviews summer warrants and budget schedule

The Stockbridge Valley Central School District Board of Education adopted the Annual Audit Report for the 2024-25 school year on Oct. 14, 2025. The motion to adopt the audit passed unanimously with a recorded vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays on a motion by Herb Bingel, seconded by Daniel Gilbert.
During the same meeting the board reviewed and adopted Treasurer's Reports and warrants. For July 1–31, 2025, the board recorded General Fund warrants totaling $598,836.50, Lunch Fund $94.94, and Capital Fund $12,389.87. For August 1–31, 2025, the board recorded General Fund $408,773.58, Lunch Fund $326.78, and Capital Fund $1,290,080.38. The board also approved the 2026–27 Budget Preparation Schedule on the superintendent’s recommendation; that motion passed 5-0.
Board President Jonathan Strain presided over the meeting and the actions were recorded by District Clerk Pamela Dymes. The board's unanimous votes on audit and finance items indicate formal acceptance of the district’s fiscal reports for the audit year and authorization to proceed with the next year’s budget calendar.
