District to launch "Little Bulldogs" playgroup Sept. 11; staff receive nonviolent crisis training

Field services staff announced the Little Bulldogs playgroup will start on Sept. 11 at the newly opened library and will run most Fridays during the school year for district children ages two to four. "The playgroup will be for children ages two-four that live in the district and of course at the newly opened library in town," Sarah Johnson said.
Johnson also told the board that four district staff completed nonviolent crisis intervention training and have begun training other staff locally; new special-education staff received related training at a separate facility. The program is intended to support early childhood connections and to provide screening and referral information for families who attend.
