The New London School District Board approved expenditures totaling $2,466,894.93 as listed on the Aug. 6, 2026 voucher register and recorded receipts of $231,641.29.
"Hearing none for vouchers, looking at a motion to approve expenditures in the amount of $2,466,894.93," the Chair said when calling for the motion; the measure was seconded and carried on a roll call in which named members answered in the affirmative. Director of Business Services highlighted the seal‑coating project and two legal expenses (Von Briesen and Atollis Law) in the voucher packet.
Board members discussed fund-balance context as part of the broader finance review. The director noted operating funds (fund 10 and fund 27) were at about 99% of revenues and 98% of expenditures before auditors' closing entries and previewed items to be reviewed at the Sept. 9 budget hearing. The board recorded the vote and moved on to other agenda items.
