Administrators report enrollment rise to roughly 405 students; ACT proficiency noted lower

District administrators told the board that K–12 enrollment was approximately 350 students and preschool enrollment about 56, producing a combined total near 405 students.
"I looked at our enrollment today and our K to 12 enrollment was at 350 today," Tiffany, the district business manager, said during her update. Administrators noted this is possibly the highest K–12 total in recent years.
Administrators also reviewed recent state ACT cut scores and preliminary proficiency rates. The state set the proficiency cut at English = 19 and science = 21 (math also at 21), which staff said yields lower proficiency percentages this year because the district administered the ACT to the entire junior class rather than only college‑bound students in prior years.
Board members discussed classroom capacity and options for splitting grades if enrollment continues to rise; staff said existing elementary spaces could be reconfigured to add rooms without immediate construction.
