"Cement and everything could be as much as a $500,000," Scott said when describing the potential cost to relocate the bus barn and rebuild hard surfaces if the district pursued a layout that required moving that facility. He and other staff noted the drawing was an initial effort to show feasibility and that property elevations had not yet been surveyed.
Board members asked about accommodating multiple throwing events, worker needs at meets, and the number of parking spots. The initial drawings show roughly 100 parking spots near the current layout with a conceptual expansion to about 220 spaces in some configurations; staff said final numbers will depend on detailed surveying and coordination with property owners.
The board did not approve any construction or a final layout; members said they will move to more detailed site drawings (ISG/ISD and Pitts involved) before decisions about construction, funding, or property negotiations are made.
