Chair moved to approve the proposal and the motion carried.
"So the new bid is 340,000," the Chair said while outlining the scope — design development through construction administration — for the site to the east of the existing campus. The predesign work ISG completed earlier included geotechnical services, topographic and boundary searches; the new contract would advance the project to permit‑ready plans.
Superintendent/operations staff and ISG representatives told the board the schedule and some costs will depend on how quickly Pitts and other contractors produce drawings and how competitive bid turnarounds are. Scott, who made the motion to approve ISG's contract, said Pitts will lead advertising for bids and ISG will provide plans to support the bidding process.
The board did not approve a final layout or construction budget; members emphasized the current steps authorize design and procurement work only. Next steps include ISG preparing construction documents and Pitts assembling a maximum‑price bid package for the board to review before awarding contracts.
