"The last 1 we had in place was done in 2001, and we wanted to make sure we wanted to get it updated," the staff member said, summarizing why the district sought a fresh plan. Board members asked how often the plan should be reviewed; staff replied it is updated every five years and suggested the bus contractor's contract could specify responsibility for future updates.
Staff said Steve from Culberson helped by reviewing routes and hazards; the next procedural step is submission to the sheriff's office before DPI review.
