Parents press district on before/aftercare registration, wait lists

District staff advised staying in touch with program director June Smith and registration helpers (the clerk), noting Camp Avenue had not finished registering and Old Mill had 16 students on the morning waitlist but no afternoon waitlist.
Resident Kristine Outwell Steinholz described contacting the district in March about registration and not receiving a date; she asked the board to improve its communications and the user interface for online registration. "I was then responded to that email promptly... I was told today when I called... that registration wasn't posted until April," she said, and requested clearer, more deliberate instructions so families do not miss deadlines.
