Staff flags CIP timing and pedestrian crossing over I‑25; Sage Meadows development moves forward

Staff told the advisory board that the town is entering budget season and that the upcoming CIP recommendations will include parks projects and transportation improvements. A staffer discussed the pedestrian crossing over I‑25 as an item that appears to be moving into an accelerated timeline and said the crossing will have benefits for trails and parks connectivity.

The staff member said, verbatim: "We're about to get thick in budget, so you guys are very well aware about. We're moving forward and really considering the stuff for the parks master plan... the pedestrian crossing over I 25, is something that's gonna happen in more in the near future than we expect it." The board also discussed planning tied to the Sage Meadows/Sage subdivisions and the proposed community center site near Ryce Elementary; staff noted some subdivisions require coordination with CSU and well infrastructure improvements. Staff will bring CIP recommendation materials to future meetings for review.
