At the March 24 meeting, Jason Shover, speaking for the Audit Committee, reported that the district has seen a 25% increase in its electricity bill and said the committee is considering commissioning an energy‑efficiency audit to identify savings. The Board received the report during committee reports and then unanimously accepted the committee reports.
Shover also told trustees the district expects state aid payments next month and that Medicaid reimbursements remain behind. There was no formal vote tied specifically to an audit authorization; the Board instead carried routine financial approvals including acceptance of the Treasurer’s Report and Monthly Financial Report. The audit item may return for a dedicated discussion if the committee recommends securing an efficiency assessment.
