Board hires Eric Pollock as Amelia County administrator, sets April start date

The Amelia County Board of Supervisors voted to hire Eric Pollock as the county's next county administrator and authorized the chair to sign an employment agreement that lists a 04/14/2025 start date.

Supervisor (speaker 1) moved to authorize execution of the employment agreement; the chair called for a vote and "All in favor" were recorded by raised hands, and the motion carried. The board publicly thanked interim administrator Mundy for his service during the recruitment process and recognized The Berkeley Group for assisting in the search.

After the vote, the board invited Pollock to speak. Pollock said, "I'm not big on speeches, so thank you all for having me, and thank you all for your confidence. And I know I'm gonna deliver for you guys, and we're gonna, exceed as a community and move the community forward into the future." The chair then recessed the meeting briefly for photos and introductions.
