Board approves asphalt and ADA repairs at Mac High and Central campuses

Superintendent (speaker 3) presented a multi-site asphalt project covering the path between Central and Mac High, the Central playground area, staff parking and a low asphalt area between Mac High's main building and the gym. The project also includes "additional ADA asphalt areas that we identified through an ADA audit," the superintendent said, and the contractor’s price will use last year’s locked-in oil pricing. The board approved the award by voice vote.
Officials said the work will start immediately after school ends and may require equipment on site during midday transitions; the district provided a map of the affected areas and will coordinate schedules with building administrators to minimize disruption.
