Tony, the district’s Business and Fiscal Services lead, told the board that current revenue is outpacing expenditures and that the budget process is active with meetings this week to gather department needs. He said a draft audit from last year is undergoing compliance testing and should be available at the board’s next meeting.
“There is a draft audit from last year. It’s going through the compliance testing this week, and we should have a final audit at our next board meeting,” Tony said. Board members acknowledged the work and thanked staff; the report framed the budget condition as stable while staff prepares requests and reconciles department priorities for next fiscal year planning.
The superintendent reminded budget committee members to review posted finance materials and a district video to prepare for the first budget committee meeting on April 15.
