Board accepts several donations including arch for cross‑country and equipment for athletics

The Darlington Community School District Board accepted a series of donations during its Aug. 13 meeting. Motions moved by Riechers and seconded by Gratz recorded acceptance of a donated Miehe Cross Country arch from the Cross Country Booster Club, plyo boxes from the Redbird Spikers for the DHS volleyball program, a $400.00 donation from the Wiegel Strong Foundation for summer tutor stipends, a $100.00 donation from Jill Ringen to support DEMS Service Learning (Rosie Bags), a $25.00 memorial donation from the DHS Class of 1952 in memory of Rita Moore, and a donation of paint stir sticks from ProEdge Building Solutions for library shelf markers.
