Flambeau principal and SPED director Betsy Miller resigns; board notes Special Education open‑enrollment cap

The Flambeau School District Board of Education accepted the resignation of Betsy Miller from her roles as 3YK–6 Principal, Director of Special Education, 504 Coordinator and Discovery Days Principal. The motion to accept the resignation was made by Zenny Mahun and seconded by Lana Nelson; the motion carried 6‑0. Board members expressed gratitude for Miller's service.
At the same time, Mrs. Miller presented the 2026–2027 Special Education Open Enrollment Report and explained that the district will be capped next year for open‑enrolled special education students, though "with the exception of one possible early childhood opening." The board approved the open enrolment report by motion (motion by Linda Zimmer; seconded by Lana Nelson).
