Board approves out-of-county trips and accepts Ebensburg Youth League field agreement retroactive to March 1

Central Cambria's board approved several out-of-county activities and accepted a retroactive field-use agreement during its May 12 meeting. Approved out-of-county activities included a Superintendent's Summit attended April 23, 2025 (Tricia Murin, NC), a 12th grade esports event in West Mifflin (May 9, 2025), a Schell Games trip to Pittsburgh (May 22, 2025), a K–5 Life Skills Fishing Derby in Cherry Tree (May 7, 2025) and a senior trip to Pittsburgh (May 19, 2025). The motions were presented by the Education Committee and carried.
On facilities use, the Property & Building Committee recommended acceptance of an agreement with the Ebensburg Youth League for use of the CES softball field, retroactive to March 1, 2025; the board approved the agreement. Informational items recorded by the superintendent listed facility usage approvals including an auditorium PD training on June 10, 2025 and Red Devil Plex use by Ebensburg Area Soccer on July 31, 2025.
